WHAT IS UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTIC CARE?
Upper Cervical Chiropractic is an area of specialization in the field of chiropractic. It is a gentle, non-force type of chiropractic care, which restores the atlas, or top cervical vertebrae, to its correct position when it has been misaligned. An atlas misalignment forces the head off balance, creating stress to the skeletal system and pressure to the brain stem. Without this specialized training it is virtually impossible to obtain a correction of this vital part of the spine. By correcting the alignment of the atlas, the head is returned to its proper position and the back is able to relax and return to its correct posture, alleviating compression to the brainstem and pressure on the spinal column.

Dr. Tao has over twenty years of experience as an Upper Cervical doctor. He measures the exact rotation, tilt, and side slip of the head, as well as the angle of the neck. Using this information, he determines the individual formula for the specific correction requirements of each patient.
